The Wyoming Mental Health Division initiated a project to obtain evaluations by consumers and family members of services received from local community mental health centers. The Division contracted with UPLIFT (a family-based organization) and WICHE (consultants) in a unique approach designed to strengthen and add credibility to the project by having it performed outside the Division. For FY02 all 16 Wyoming CMHC's distributed surveys to consumers who had serious and persistent mental illnesses.
